Who needs to apply for Child Student visa
The Parent of a Child Student route is designed for parents who want to come to or stay in the UK to look after their child aged between 4 and 11, where the child is in the UK on a Child Student visa and is attending an independent (private) fee-paying day school.
If you are a parent who wants to accompany your child during their English language course for less than 6 months, you and your child should apply for a Standard visitor visa.

What are Parent of a Child Student visa requirements

you are the parent of a child who has, or is at the same time applying for a Child Student visa;

you must be the only parent accompanying your child in the UK. The child’s other parent must live abroad, and cannot apply to join you in the UK.

your Child Student is aged between 4 and 11 years old, and be attending an independent (private) fee-paying day school in the UK.

you intend to live with the Child Student during your stay in the UK;

you need to show that you have enough money to support yourself and your child in the UK without relying on public funds;

you do not intend to make the UK your main home and have sufficient funds to maintain your main home outside the UK;

you plan to leave the UK when your visa expires before your child reaches the age of 12
When to apply for Child Student visa
Apply from outside the UK:
You must apply for a Parent of a Child Student visa before you travel to the UK. You can apply at the same time as your child applies for Student Child visa.
The earliest you can apply is 6 months before you travel to the UK.
How long you can stay
The Parent of a Child Student visa will allow you to stay for a period which ends at the same time as the Child Student’s permission (visa), or on the date the Child Student reaches the age of 12 years, whichever is sooner.
